Africa: Namibia

We marched back to the pan a second time in the same day in order to try taking photos of the Milky Way. There was a moon so bright that night that we could see our shadows. Many stars should have been washed out, but for some reason we were able to record a beautiful sky full of stars and the Milky Way. We obtained special permission to be there and were all by ourselves. Strangely enough, there were no sounds, other than our voices. It was a spiritual moment.
